That's awesome @twopercentwilk!! Congratulations
First off, after our table last week I realized, bring more books than you expect to sell!
We only brought a handful of things thinking that we wouldn't sell much (It was more of a showcase con than a sales con) and we basically sold out, so bring more than you expect. Even if you just leave them in your car, you can always bring them back home.
The second thing is lots of people commented on our display, which isn't too crazy, but the CRT was something that started a lot of conversations and many told us that our "themed" display brought them over and they loved it. Ours is obviously 80's themed to Dead Halt, but depending on what you are making, bring some props and things that will catch peoples eyes.
Third, try to elevate the things on your table. If you have some books, try to get them open, or up high so there is some good elevation to the table. I will try and post some more pictures I took, but here is a general overview of what we had. Its not complicated at all! But people seemed to like it.
QR Scancodes for Paypal / Venmo are great to have printed out on the table, and you can do the same for an email list, kickstarter page, or discord! Great way to get people to follow along
What kind of books are you selling, zines? What kind of theme?
Other than that just talk to the people near you, meet up with other creators and games and have fun!
